Here’s what you’ve come for – Shippy’s Christmas Eve Eggnog recipe!

12 eggs

6 cups of milk (more to top)

2 cups thickened cream

1 & 1/2 cups white sugar

2 cups Jim Beam

1 cup brandy

Freshly grated nutmeg

You’ll need at least 3 LARGE bowls, 4 would be better.

In the first two bowls seperate the egg whites from the yolks. Beat the yolks with approximately half the sugar, keep mixing until it turns the same colour as butter.

Then add in all of the bourbon and brandy, quite slowly at first.

When combined place the yolk mixture into the fridge. Beat the egg whites with the rest of the sugar and place into the fridge.

Beat the cream until it forms soft peaks and place into the fridge. Take the yolk mixture and stir in the 6 cups of milk and add nutmeg.

Fold in the egg whites then cream and place in fridge for at least 6 hours.

Fold the mixture again and serve in glasses with some fresh nutmeg for each glass.
